Ghana made a poor start to their 2021 Africa Cup of Nations campaign after conceding a late goal to lose 1-0 against Morocco on Monday evening.

Sofiane Boufal won the match for Morocco in the 82nd minute when he pounced on to a loose ball before hammering his effort into the far corner.

It was a rare moment of quality in an otherwise uneventful game as Ghana frustrated their opponents and nearly took the lead through impressive Joseph Painstil.

Morocco were untroubled in the closing stages, cantering to their win.
