Fuel tanker catches fire on Accra-Kumasi highway

A fuel tanker has caught fire today on the Accra-Kumasi highway (N6) at Nsutam near the Paradise Rest stop according to the Ghana Police Service.

A fuel tanker has caught fire today on the Accra-Kumasi highway (N6) at Nsutam near the Paradise Rest stop according to the Ghana Police Service.

The Kyebi Motor Transport and Traffic Directorate (MTTD) have therefore blocked the highway from the Osino direction and at the Nsutam custom barrier.

The Ghana Fire Service have also arrived at the scene to douse the fire.

So far, no causalities have been recorded.

The police however have assured the public to communicate further details in due course as it pleads with motorists from Accra and Kumasi to exercise patience and adhere to all traffic directions from police officers at the scene of the incident.
