On Monday, 20th June, 2022, there was heavy storm and downpour. This led the people of Mameaso into a very tragic state. Mameaso is a community in the Amenfi East Municipality. About 20 households have their roofing rift off leaving the people to the mercy of the rain. About six 6 Electricity Poles were brought down by the storm. The Municipal Chief Executive Officer for Amenfi East, Hon. Frederick Korankye upon hearing the incidence on Tuesday, 21st June, 2022 attended to the people. In his company was the Municipal works Engineer, Mr Clement Korankye Taylor and the Municipal NADMO coordinator, Nana Kumi Daffour. The MCE met the victims and assured them of his support. He said he will do anything within his means to make sure their houses are rehabilitated. The NADMO coordinator took data of the affected people.
The victims expressed their appreciation to the MCE for the visit and his promise.
The chief of the Community, Nana Owusu Bore also thanked the MCE and his entourage for the visit. He said the administration of this MCE is different from what he has witnessed in the past. He prayed for God’s guidance and wisdom for the MCE.
