Matchday 2 of the new Ghana Premier League did not disappoint with drama and goals witnessed by all.

The biggest game of the weekend was between Hearts of Oak and Great Olympics, the Mantse Derby which took place at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

Yussif Razak capitalised on a horrendous error by the Hearts of Oak defence to draw first blood for the Oly Dade boys but a late header from recent signing Konadu Yiadom forced a draw.

Hearts of Oak are currently winless against Olympics in their last five meetings.

Elsewhere, Medeama mounted a comeback to secure all three points against RTU.

The Mauve and Yellows scored the opener but two quick second-half goals from Issah Kuka turned the tide in favour of RTU.

Kofi Asmah and Kwasi Donsu, who finished the game with a brace, came to the rescue of the hosts, ensuring a 3-2 result.

Legon Cities bounced back from a disappointing opening match to clinch a 1-0 win over Tamale City away from home.

Dreams FC continued their fine start to the season with a 1-0 victory over newly promoted side Kotoku Royals.

Accra Lions beat Karela United 2-1 at home while Nsoatreman secured their first ever top-flight win against Bibiani Gold Stars on Friday.
