A formidable foundation, Akomapa Youth Care Foundation (AYCF) tailed from Bechem, Ahafo Region and founded by Mr. Antwi Richard, on 15th December, 2022 donated the first and only computer set to Dwomo Methodist basic school at Tano South to enhance the students to learn I.C.T by having a hands on practice with the computer.

A soccer ball of which the school didn’t have and other learning materials were added to aid learning.

On Education, the Founder, Mr. Antwi Richard a Medical Imaging Student of KNUST expressed his heart-felt gratitude to the teachers for their hard work and encouraged the students to learn hard.

He added, “where you’re and where you are from shouldn’t be a hinderance to your success, I was once like you and I know how it feels to be in this position”. He stated this after which he let them know he never got the opportunity to even see a computer till JHS One (1).

He said, “I donate not because I am from a rich family but I know how it feels to have nothing especially to eat and wear.”

AYCF (to be abbreviated) has embark on two successful project. In 2020 at MANSOPA, an end year visitation and education talk.

And in 2021, the team also visited Mumslove charity foundation at Duayaw nkwanta.

Let’s lend our hands to the needy and today should be a mark for each student here to learn how to give back to the community.

This year’s project brought smiles and also encouraged the teachers to engage very well in both Academics and sports. They are forever grateful to you all.
