Hearts of Oak forward, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh has set his sight on winning the ongoing Ghana Premier League to be able to play in the Caf Champions League next season.

The Phobians are on course to end their 11 years trophy drought.

After 29 matches played in the ongoing Ghana Premier League season, the Rainbow team sit on top of the league log with 53 points.

However, Barnieh who has been a key player under Samuel Boadu speaking in an interview reiterated that their objective is to win the ultimate.

He, however, stressed that it will come easy but will work as a team to achieve it.

“We want to win the Premier League and that is the objective for this season and we are slowly getting there,” he told GTV Sports Plus.

“I want to play in the Caf Champions League next season with Hearts of Oak and by that, we have to win the league title.

“I know it will not come easy but we will work as a team to achieve it,” he added.

Hearts of Oak will play as guest to Legon Cities in the matchday 30 games at the Accra Sports Stadium before hosting their bitterest rivals, Asante Kotoko at the same venue in the matchday 31 games on Sunday.

Hearts, however, share the same points with Kotoko with just goal difference separating both sides.
