Ahafo Students union UEW; First general meeting

Ahafo students association is an association of tertiary students who hailed from Ahafo region. The Association was formally under Brong and Ahafo students union (BASU) but due to regional integration by the president of Ghana His Excellency Nana Akkufo Addo, Ahafo students have detached themselves from their mother association hence held their first annual meeting at university of education, Winneba last week Saturday 26th June, 2021.
The aim of the association is to mobilize all tertiary students hailing from Ahafo under one canopy and seek for their welfare, address their academic challenges, helping members to secure jobs and socialize with other members and lastly portray the rich culture of Ahafo to the world.
According to the President of the association, Honourable FRANK ADU GYAMFI who doubles as the Vice president for Physical education students UEW, he said “he is poised to put out has maximum best for the association to takes its peak but as we all know beginning everything in Ghana is difficulty, hence inviting and pleading with all philanthropist, chiefs and politicians within the region to come in their aid to help the association in terms of finance for the association to be effective since members are feeling timid to show up in their numbers and hope that if helping hands is given members or students who hails from the region will patronize the association wholeheartedly.
The association patron, Prof. Dadson Dandy (ITECH PD and lecturer at Geography department UEW), have urge all members to fulfil their financial obligation so that the association can be register and recognize nationwide. He ended by proposing the date for launching the association and 7th and 14th of August, 2021 was proposed.
