Head of Cooperate Authority at the National Identification Authority (NIA), Ganiyu Abdul, has disclosed that, 291 officers of the authority will be operational beginning November 3rd.
He said this while speaking in an interview on the Sunrise show on 3fm 92.7 with host Alfred Ocansey.
The authority explained that the decision to suspend their services at some 34 registration centers in the country is to enable them prepare for the operationalization of their offices nationwide.
According to the head of cooperate affairs at the “NIA recruitment has been done for all the offices to begin registration of eligible Ghanaians from November 3rd and also bring it various services, including new registrations , card collection or insurance, card emplacement and update of personal records to the door step of the populace.”
Ganiyu Abdul indicated that, in all 16 regional officers 275 NIA district offices and the premium registration Centre at the NIA Head office will open across the country.
Recently, there has been a rush for NIA cards due to the SIM cards re-registration and other services which requires the use of the NIA cards.
