An unknown attacker has stabbed an eleven-year-old girl who is currently on admission at the Manhyia Government Hospital in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.

The victim, Adama Bawah was stabbed multiple times by her attacker at a secluded area at AkwatiaLine, a suburb of the Asokore Mampong Municipality of the Ashanti Region.

The incident occurred around 7pm, Friday October 22 when the girl was sent by her dad to buy food for him.

Mother of the victim, Mariam Hudu is still in shock.

She wants the police to bring the perpetrator to book

“I am very worried with what happened to my daughter. I’m hoping the police arrest the perpetrator and punish him accordingly,” she said.

Assemblyman for Akwatialine electoral area, Ali Ahmed expressed shock about the incident.

He however said the community watchdog committee will intensify its surveillance to prevent such incident from reoccurring.

Police have since begun investigation to arrest the perpetrator.
