KNUST students engage in vandalism, several properties destroyed

Clashes between students at Katanga and Unity Halls at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) have resulted in vandalism, Thursday night.

Report reveals, Students of Katanga Hall were having a procession as part of their hall week but, ended up at the precinct of Unity Hall.

Students of both halls pelted each other resulting in vandalism.

Security has currently, been beefed up to prevent further escalation.

Meanwhile, the Ashanti regional coordinating council has issued a statement informing students of the university to halt any demonstration.
