Political activist and social media communicator for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sir Obama Pokuase has announced his withdrawal from the party’s upcoming National Youth Organizer contest.

The ruling party will next year go to the polls to elect a new national youth organizer ahead of the 2024 elections.

In the last few months, Sir Obama Pokuase has been one of the strong contenders for the National Youth Organizer position.

Surprisingly, he has announced that he will no longer contest the position.

“It is with deep regret that I announce to members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), particularly the youth front and the general public my decision to withdraw from the upcoming National Youth Organizer contest,” a press release from Sir Obama has said.

He explains that although a painful decision to take, it is necessary because of circumstances beyond his control.

“I urge my numerous supporters across the length and breadth of the country to bear with me,” Sir Obama adds.
