Mr Donald Dzamesi, the All Peoples Congress (APC) party parliamentary candidate for Akatsi South Constituency in Volta region in the last year general elections has advised opponents to criticize the ruling government with fairness.

He said, to be a vibrant and good politician, one must not be involved in politics of insults but rather criticized with fairness and applaud any government that did well.

He added that, power in government is not permanent and therefore ruling parties must try their best to satisfy the citizens that voted them into power.

Mr Dzamesi was reacting to the disturbances at Ejura some weeks ago which resulted in the death of one Mr Ibrahim Mohammed aka Kaka, a social activist and two other youth who were protesting to demand justice for the deceased.

He told this reporter in an interview on Saturday, June 3 that, it is the responsibility of the Nana Addo led government to protect the citizens.

“It is the responsibility of the government to protect us but what did we see in Techiman South, Sisala West,Ayawaso West among other places before, during and after 2020 general election? “he continued.

He urges the United Nations to add up their voices and condemned the recent killings by military personnel at Ejura last week.

“It is a pity as everything looks filthy and no one is ready to talk about it”.

According to Mr Dzamasi, party boys in uniforms portraying themselves as security personnel are destroying the image of the military.

He appeals to President Nana-Addo to address the insecurity in the country before it gets out of hand.

He also revealed to this reporter that, the peace of the country lies on the tongues of political leaders.

According to him, Ghana is respected and highly acknowledged by all nations as the beacon of peace.

Mr Dzamesi who contested in the 2020 parliamentary election in Akatsi South constituency with three other candidates but lost to incumbent MP Mr Bernard Ahiafor, advised all to keep calm as they await president Nana Addo to address the security issues in the country.
