The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Youth Wing in Ahafo Region has successfully inaugurated the Hot Seat Youth Wing to support in galvanising votes to enable it retain power in the coming 2024 general Election and Win all the 6 parliamentary seats in the region under the Theme: Strengthening NPP youth wing in Ahafo Region through Foot soldier’s.

Performing the inauguration ceremony which attracted regional and constituency executives, district chief executives, some ministers of state and present and past constituency youth organisers from all the constituencies in the region happened today 14th August, 2022 at Ahafo Kwapong Pomaa Avenue.

The Regional minister for Ahafo, Hon. George Yaw BOAKYE, charged  the youth wing to  embark on vigorous campaign activities to enable the party retain power (Break the 8) in the impending elections.

He attributed the party’s victory of the 2020 general election to dedication, commitment, sacrifice, determination and hard work of the youth of the party and urged them to double their efforts to enable the party win convincingly in the upcoming 2024 elections.

The District chief executive of Asunafo South, Hon. Frank Aduse Poku also stressed that Despite the fact that the NPP government inherited shattered economy from the National Democratic Congress (NDC), it has managed to put the economy on track for its years in power and assured the youth who have not yet benefited from the NPP government to exercise restraint whilst it  works towards addressing their needs however, enlighten them the need to work harder to retain NPP government in power to accomplish their dreams.


The Constituency Youth organizer of the party, Nana Boakye Yiadom Kissme, stressed that, the party was bent on retaining power in 2020 and would never be complacent in its campaign activities saying that barely years NPP government came into power under the able leadership of  President Nana Akufo-Addo, has worked to improve upon the conditions of Ghanaians by introducing pro-poor policies and programmes such as the free senior high school and planting for food and jobs, among others. And he further said the government is working hard to expand school infrastructure across the country to eliminate the double track system which has attracted a lot of criticisms from the opposition parties.


The Parliamentary candidate of Asunafo South, Hon. Ing. Kobby Amoa-Mensah, entreated all party members particularly the youth to bury their differences and work in unity and harmony towards the party’s victory in coming 2024 elections and charged the regional and constituency executives of the party to team up with any candidate that will be selected to represent Asunafo South Constituency as Parliamentary candidate in the coming Primaries to hand in hand work hardly with the youth wing to unseat the underperforming member of parliament coming 2024 general election.

Some invited guests also spoke on the need to vote for the NPP and advised the Youth to be vigilant and not to involve themselves in any riots.

Also the NPP Chairman for Asunafo South Constituency Chairman Mensah and Hon. George Yaw BOAKYE was the chief architect for the day who , Inaugurated and sworn in the Ahafo NPP HOT SEAT Youth-Wing, it’s Executives and Planning committee members and finally encouraged them to work hard to recapture the seat from NDC in Next Elections.

Ahafonews team interviewed some Die hard supporters of the party and some made mention of challenges the youth are facing like unemployment, and poor road network within most villages in the Constituency and pleaded to those responsible for tarring of Sankore – Kwapong road to speed up their work.

The saddest of it all was when the youth wing prompted Ahafonews about an old woman who has lease her cocoa farm on an amount of Ghc 1000 for 20 years so that She can pay for her Child’s school fees.
