The Ahafo Regional Minister Honourable George Boakye, yesterday commenced inspection of all roads under construction in the Ahafo Region.
He began the inspection tour from the Asunafo North Municipality when he inspected progress of work on the;
1. Mim – Asukese – Kenyasi stretch
2. Mim – Atronie stretch
3. Bediako – Kasapin – Camp 15
4. Ayomso Roman – Kwaku
5. Akrodie – Sayereso
6. Ayomso – Gyasikrom – Kofifofie
7. Odumase – Kumaho – Kodiekrom
8. Kumaho – Akutuase – Kyenkyehene
9. Akrodie – Chief Camp – Mensahkrom
10. Kasapin – Antobea
This inspection tour was necessated as a result of an earlier meeting the Minister had with all the road contractors on 13th April 2021.
At the meeting, it was agreed that all contractors across the Region were going to return to site immediately.
Honourable George Boakye was impressed with the progress of work of some of the contractors for the swift action. Though others were still yet to return to work.
He advised them to use quality materials since it was the only way to ensure durability and sustainability.
The Minister therefore urged the contractors to speed up work in order to meet the deadline for completion of the various projects.
The Minister was accompanied by the The Municipal Chief Executive of Asunafo North, the Regional Directors of feeder roads as well as the Ghana Highway Authority.
The inspection will continue on the 8th June 2021 at the Asunafo South District.
