The Municipal Chief Executive for Amenfi East, Hon. Frederick Korankye on Tuesday, 28th June 2022, joined the people of Nkrumahkrom in communal labour. Nkrumahkrom is a community in the Amenfi East Municipality.

During his familiarization tour in May, 2022, the MCE promised the people of Nkrumahkrom to rehabilitate their deplorable 6 unit classroom block through a ‘self-help project”. This was a response to a request made by the people.

In fulfilment of his promise, the MCE donated 40 bags of cement and fully participated in organised communal labour to start moulding blocks for the project.
These measures are in line with his approach to help restore the lost communal spirit in our localities.

On behalf of the people, the Assemblyman for the area, Hon. Moses Kwame Gyatuah thanked the MCE for the steps he has taken. The chief of the community, Nana Kwao Tettey also expressed his gratitude to the MCE for his level of humility.

The Unit committee chairman, Mr. Nicholas Tetteh promised that the community will continue the communal labour to seeing the completion of the project.
