President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has assured the chiefs and people of the Central Region that the Minister of Roads and Highways, Kwasi Amoako Atta, will ensure that road contractors who have abandoned the project return to site and complete the projects in the region.
His comment was after the chiefs had drawn his attention to the effect that the contractors had abandoned the projects.
The Chief of Assin Breku in the Assin North District of the central region, Nana Oduro Basayiadum II expressed worry at the failure of the contractors to complete the project.
Responding to him, Mr Akufo-Addo said “Regarding the road contactors, Amoako Atta is working on that. We will ensure that they complete the work their doing.”
Touching on the One District One Factory initiative, he said, when he made this campaign promise, his opponents mocked because in theuir view, he wasnt going to be able to do it.
“I was told that I couldn’t do the 1D1F, that I was deceiving but today, Ghanaians have seen it for themselves and they now know who was telling the truth and who was speaking the lie,” he said.
