Ghanaians have been urged to embrace the digitisation agenda of the Akufo-Addo led government spearheaded by the Vice President, Dr. Alhaji Mahamadu Bawumia.

According to Government Spokesperson Abdul El Samed, the issue of digitalisation cannot be overemphasised in the development of every economy in this modern world.

He said the optimistic effort by the government would be beneficial to the country.

Speaking on Bryt FM’s political show ‘EBESI SEN’ on Thursday evening, Hon. Samed emphasised that Ghana has seen tremendous improvement in digitisation since 2017 when the New Patriotic Party took power from the previous National Democratic Congress.

He mentioned the digital address system, the mobile money interoperability, the electronic system, and many other initiatives have contributed a lot to the development of the economy over the past years.

He added that the digitisation agenda would also have positive impact on the economy such as, widening the tax net, reduce bureaucracy, reduce crime, save time of doing business as well as many others.

The Spokesperson who is also an appointee at the New Juaben North Municipality however appealed to Ghanaians not to heed the propaganda of the opposition National Democratic Congress as it has nothing good to offer as an alternative.

Meanwhile, a Social Commentator Rev. Joseph Afrifa, on his part urged both the ruling New Patriotic Party and the National Democratic Congress to appreciate each other when necessary to see to the development that Ghanaians want.

He also, admitted that the digitisation agenda by government has really helped a lot and called on all Ghanaians to support such policies.
