Director of EcoCare Waste Initiative, and native of Ahafo Goaso but currently residing in Benin is at the forefront of orgnaising the EcoTalks 2.3
YOUTH SUSTAINABILITY FESTIVAL.

A communique sighted by Ahafo news states that the
Eco Talks Series is inviting participants to a virtual Youth Sustainability Festival that will take place on 23rd -24th October, 2021.

EcoTalks Series is a Pan-African sustainability movement hosted by EcoCare Waste Initiative in Ghana and The Eco-Mindset in Kenya – to give voice to the youth (especially the eco warriors) to demonstrate the solutions they are iterating and to make a strong call for action towards a sustainable Africa.

Eco Talks Series is leveraging on knowledge ,alliances and resources to foster action that leads to tangible results of climate action and a sustainable mindset shift among the people of Africa.

The Sustainability Festival is the 6th episode of the virtual EcoTalks Series of webinars on Sustainability & Climate Change. This particular episode has been converted into a two- day Youth Virtual Conference.

The theme of the Festival is “Youth Caring For Nature and The Future”

Subthemes:

1. Climate Action, Advocacy & Policy

2. Energy & Resource Efficiency

3. Eco-enterprise and Human-Centered Design

4. Circular Waste Management

5. Sustainability Communication, Pitch and Storytelling

6. Partnerships, Networks and Investor Matching

The conference will interactively combine technical inputs from experts in sustainability matters; young people in dialogues about the future of circular economy, facilitation and practical experience in building eco-enterprises, and lots of fun games and activities on sustainability.

This will ensure delegates go away with skills to enable them and their teams perform to the peak of their abilities. To continue to push the boundaries in delivering better, high quality sustainable solutions in their environments.

This is an assessed Festival and certification will be awarded against two criteria:

· attendance to 80-100% of all sessions

· successful completion of online post workshop assessment.

Targeted delegates for this festival include (but not limited to):
– youth working around the SDGs (directly or indirectly)
– students of environment, climate change, sustainability and circular economy and related disciplines
– everyone else outside these two groups but who have interest in nature and conservation matters and simply like to learn about the subject of sustainability etc
