Former Black Stars striker, Kwesi Appiah has completed a switch to English League Two outfit Crawley Town FC, Modernghana Sports can officially report.

According to an announcement from the club, the experienced forward has inked a one-year contract but will have the chance to extend for a second deal at the end of the campaign.

“Crawley Town Football Club is delighted to announce the permanent signing of Ghanaian forward, Kwesi Appiah, on a one-year deal with an option for a second, subject to international clearance,” the English club has announced.

It adds, “The striker has fantastic experience, playing expansively throughout the EFL and most recently in the Indian Super League with North East United, where he netted three times in eight appearances.

“Our new addition was contracted at Crystal Palace for five years from 2012, after joining from Margate, to 2017 when he made a permanent move to AFC Wimbledon.”

Kwesi Appiah, 31, in the past played for clubs including Aldershot, Yeovil, Cambridge United, Notts County and AFC Wimbledon.

At Crawley Town FC, the ex-Black Stars forward is expected to provide a major squad boost to help the club chase promotion to the English League One.
