The Ghana Army activated Operation BOAFO, a search and rescue operation to assist civil authorities including NADMO during yesterday’s downpour.

In line with the operation, the 48 Engineer Regiment of the Ghana Army set out to various flood prone communities in the city to rescue people especially women and children including the elderly who may have been in danger as result of the floods. Areas of the operation included, OSU, Accra central, kaneshie, Nungua Barrier, Circle, Odokor among other areas.

The Ghana Army wishes to assure the general public of its commitment to safeguarding live and property.
