Ghana has received additional 244,800 doses of Johnson & Johnson on Thursday September 2.

This was done through the African Vaccine Acquisition Trust (AVAT) mechanism established by the African Union and supported by the World Bank, according to UNICEF.

“This is welcome news as it will ensure the smooth continuation of the on-going vaccination campaign.

“UNICEF continues to be a committed partner in facilitating the transportation of the vaccines to Ghana @WorldBank and @UNICEF,” UNICEF said.
