Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has assured the people of the Ashanti Region that the government is committed to improving the road infrastructure on the region as well ass the entire country.

He mentioned the Parliamentary approval of the construction of the Suame Interchange- Phase1 as a signal that indicates the governments commitment in giving the roads a facelift.

He said these while commissioning the Phase I of the 100km Rehabilitation and Auxiliary Infrastructure of Kumasi Inner Ring Road and Adjacent Streets Project – Phase 1 on Monday August 1.

“We intend to ensure that they are all completed. I also indicated Parliament has approved the construction of the Suame Interchange- Phase1.

“Works are expected to start by September 2022 on Boankra Inland Port. I am informed that the contractor will start work this month and were on site this morning,” he said in a Facebook post after the event.
