For many today is not just a day but a special day. The people of Ghana especially those in Ahafo and Asunafo South in particular are grateful to the Almighty for the gift of life you have.
At 78 years, you have been through alot. You have seen the happy side of life and the bitter side of life. You have seen those who stand by you in harsh times and those who follow you for selfish gains.
During your Presidency you have shown to us that you care about people. Your visionary leadership has touched many households and empowered many. The effects of your policies are long term which will have impacts on generations. Your impact on generations will make you a house household name for generations. You came to build a legacy. A legacy of transformation that will transcend generations. Amidst difficult situations you have shown to be resolute and principled. Your love for Mother Ghana, the epitome of a true Patriot.
Mr President, some of us grew up hearing stories about how Ahafo deserved to be a Region. We always looked forward to this but we doubted if it would be possible in our lifetime. You conquered our doubts and gave us a Region. We are grateful, we see the benefits of a new Region.
