Hon. Freda Prempeh Donates Clothing to Empower Women Ahead of 2024 Elections
Tano North Constituency, Ahafo Region – In a move to bolster support for the 2024 elections, Hon. Freda Prempeh, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Tano North Constituency, has donated 50 bales of used clothing to the Ahafo Regional Deputy Women’s Organization.
The donation was received by Maa Philo, the Ahafo Regional Deputy Women’s Organizer, who expressed gratitude for Hon. Prempeh’s continuous support to the region, particularly in empowering women.
“Hon. Dr. Freda Prempeh has been a steadfast ally of the Ahafo region, and this donation of used clothing will go a long way in reaching out to deprived communities and supporting our women’s initiatives,” Maa Philo said.
This latest contribution follows Hon. Prempeh’s previous donation of 12 motorbikes to the Ahafo Regional Women’s Wing, which aimed to bolster their campaign efforts.
In her remarks, Hon. Prempeh emphasized the importance of women’s participation in the upcoming 2024 elections, noting that they constitute more than 50% of the voting population.
“It is our responsibility to work hard and ensure victory for the 2024 elections,” she stated, pledging to continue supporting the women’s wing and selected orphan constituencies in the Ahafo, Bono, and Bono East Regions.
