I never dated Daddy Lumba – Former backing vocalist speaks

Former lead backing vocalist of prolific Ghanaian highlife singer Daddy Lumba has opened up on her alleged relationship with the singer.

According to Ateaa Tina, she only held a working relationship with Lumba and had no erotic relationship with him.

Speaking on the Delay Show, Ateaa Tina added that she only met Lumba when there was a musical project to be worked on.

“Every lady who has worked with Daddy Lumba is rumored to be having an affair with him and I was no exclusion but the truth is that Daddy and I only met on work basis and aside from that there were no strings attached.

I doubt if anything could have happened to me at the time, I was 19 then and I lived in Holland with my family, I only went to Germany to meet Daddy Lumba at his residence where he had the studio setup,” she told Delay.

Ateaa went on to state that there was never an erotic moment between her and Daddy Lumba because the studio was in his house in Germany and whenever they worked on a project there was the full presence of his wife and children.

Ateaa is well known for her participation in some hit songs of legendary singer Daddy Lumba as a backing vocalist some of which include Pony, Bubra, and Gold Digger.

To her credit, Ateaa, a mother four featured on five albums, two of which were duo albums.

Currently, the silky-voiced singer has set out to establish a relaunch into the music fraternity this year.
