The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Bortianor-Ngleshie Amanfro, Sylvester Tetteh has bragged that President Akufo-Addo has done better than all past Presidents in the country.

President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo, according to the legislator would have even been the best President Ghana has ever had since the establishment of the Fourth Republic if the once flamboyant economy was not hit by external factors.

He explained during a discussion on Accra-based Peace FM’s Kokrokoo morning show, which Modernghana News monitored that the President’s good intentions have been shattered by the Russia-Ukraine war and the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mr. Tettey challenged anyone who disagreed with him to a debate.

“If it hadn’t been because of COVID and Russia/Ukraine war that have upset our economic gains, I haven’t seen anybody under the Fourth Republic who has performed excellently like Nana Addo.

“And these are things that I dare anybody to come to the table, let’s discuss it,” he brags.

However, the NPP lawmaker acknowledged the country’s difficulties and urged Ghanaians to have faith in the President to turn the tide for the better.

“I will plead with Ghanaians that it is true we are experiencing hardships but it’s the same hands that took us from IMF, the same hands that took us from low growth GDP to 7.3 per cent”, he appealed.

Mr. Stephen Tettey asserted that “every government has a good intention for this country but [the basics] we need to go back to the basics and it’s about time that our technocrats, the people who have the knowledge to help; everybody must come on board. Have a national dialogue and see how we can change.”
