After weeks of uncertainty around his future for the new season, the Black Stars full-back on Friday afternoon sealed a season-long loan move to the Royals from Premier League club Chelsea FC.

Speaking to the media team of Reading after the official announcement from the club, Baba Rahman said “I’m very happy and pleased to be here. It’s been a bit back and forth but then I’m very delighted to be here now.”

The Black Stars defender continued, “I’ve known Reading over the years, it’s a big club with great history. When I spoke with the manager, I just got interested in the project.”

At Reading FC, Baba Rahman is set to play with his compatriot Andy Yiadom.
