John Blay, the father of Medeama SC midfielder, Justice Blay, has confirmed that his son will join Asante Kotoko in the upcoming football season.

The midfielder has been linked with a move back to the Porcupine Warriors.

Blay won the heart of the fans when he joined the club on loan during the 2019/20 season which was truncated due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

And according to John, bankroller of Medeama, Moses Parker recently confirmed to him that agreement has been reached with Kotoko for the transfer of Justice Blay.

“I can say on record that my son (Justice Blay) will play for Kotoko next season because I asked Moses Parker and he told me that he has transferred my son to Kotoko which I have no problem about that,” John Blay told Kumasi-based Otec FM.

According to multiple reports, the deal will be worth Gh¢70,000.

Blay before his injury was in a terrific form in the 2020-21 season for Medeama, featuring 16 times, netting three goals in the process before picking up the injury against Legon Cities in Tarkwa which kept him out of the rest of the just-ended season.
