Newly-appointed Legon Cities head coach, Maxwell Konadu says his side will maintain their Premier League status.

The Royals shocked Elmina Sharks at their home grounds at the Ndoum Sports Complex in the matchday 33 fixture on Sunday.

Goals from Benjamin Boateng and experience James Bissue were enough for the Royals to secure all the three points.

Speaking in a post-match presser, Konadu lauded his players following the win and stressed that they will surely escape relegation.

“It was a good game. We controlled the game in the early stages of the first half,” he added.

“It’s unfortunate we couldn’t take our chances. We will do everything to win the last game and be safe. We will escape relegation.”

“We haven’t changed a lot, we decided to continue the work being done.

“It’s unfortunate things are not going how I wanted it but we will surely escape relegation.”

The Royals are currently found 15th on the league log with 39 points.

What next?
Legon Cities will host Eleven Wonders in their last game of the 2020/21 season at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
