Ghanaian rapper AMG Medikal will be processed before court on Friday, October 22 after being picked up by police on Thursday, Ahafonews.com gathers.
Real name Samuel Adu Frimpong, the 2021 Hiphop Artiste of the Year was picked up by personnel from the Accra Regional Command of the Ghana Police Service for allegedly brandishing a gun on social media.
He was subsequently denied bail as prosecutors piece evidence together to charge him for unlawful possession of firearm.
This comes barely 24 hours after an Accra Circuit Court remanded Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale in police custody for one week.
Shatta Wale is facing charges of publication of false news after feigning a gun attack on Monday, October 18.
Born Charles Nii Armah Mensah, the popular musician has been charged together with three others including his aide Nana Dope.
