Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Asante Kotoko, Nana Yaw Amponsah has disclosed that the club has generated $900,000 from sponsorships since his appointment in 2020.

Last year in August, the shareholder of PHAR Rangers was officially appointed as new CEO of the Porcupine Warriors club and tasked to restore the club’s status as an elite on the African continent.

Immediately after taking the role, Nana Yaw Amponsah held talks with a number of firms and subsequently announced several sponsorship deals before the new season started and as the season progressed as well.

In a post-season interview, the Asante Kotoko CEO has revealed that the club has since accrued close to a million dollars in sponsorship money.

“Asante Kotoko brand is bigger and we generate $900,000 in revenue from sponsorship deals,” Nana Yaw Amponsah told Oyerepa FM in an interview on Monday.

According to the Asante Kotoko CEO, there are talks to finalize additional sponsorship deals that will be announced soon.

“There are more sponsorship deals in the pipeline. We have reached an agreement with some of them which will be announced in the coming days,” Nana Yaw Amponsah noted.

Since taking the Asante Kotoko CEO job, Nana Yaw Amponsah has confirmed deals with Next Level Energy Drink, Hisense Ghana, Cedar Points Pharmaceuticals, Instas, Veo, StarLife Assurance, CEEK, and Ticketlake.
