The National Communications Authority (NCA) has approved Space X Starlink GH Limited, the operator of Starlink Satellite Broadband’s application to offer satellite broadband services in Ghana.

The announcement was contained in a release from the NCA dated Thursday, April 25.

According to the authority, the approval of Starlink is due to the Ministry of Communications and Digitalisation’s newly implemented Ghana’s Satellite Licencing Framework.

“The approval of the application follows the policy approval of the Satellite Licensing Framework in Ghana by the Ministry of Communications and Digitalisation.

“The administrative processes towards the issuance of the licence is ongoing and will be completed shortly,” the statement read in parts.
