Sunyani MCE honors a graduation ceremony

The Municipal Chief Executive of Sunyani Municipal Assembly, Hon Ansu Kumi attended a graduation ceremony of Junior High School Students at Sacred Heart Junior High today organized by the School.

As a special Guest of Honor, The diligent MCE delivered the key note speech on the theme ” Discipline; a tool for shaping future Leaders for excellence”.

In his speech, he underscored the need for all and sundry to uphold conscious discipline in every Sphere of our lives.

He commended the committee for proposing such a theme especially now, stating,discipline seems to have eluded the population so that, many are seen exhibiting gross disrespect Even towards the elderly.

He assured the schools within his Municipality of the support of his office to ensuring and enforcing disciplinary mechanisms to bringing out the best in the Students.

The assiduous MCE maintained, ” My office would support you in the institution of punitive measures to correcting our wards so long as it does not threaten their lives”.

Prices were given to honor outstanding students from different categories including, Best academic student, Most discipline Student and many others.

The hard working MCE then joined a sending over ceremony of Hon Nsiah Asare, who was ending his service with the Ghana Education Service (GES) after serving for over thirty (30) years as a teacher. Until his retirement, he was the Headmaster of Sunyani Senior High school (SUSEC) where the program was held.

He equally attended the Annual conference and Inauguration ceremony of the Cashew Traders and Exporters association of Ghana held at Tyco City hotel in Sunyani.
