RICT Consult an IT Services and Training provider organized a 3 Days CCTV Camera installation training in Duayaw Nkwanta, the capital of Tano North to help equip indigenes on how to install CCTV cameras and make money out of it.

The General Manager of RICT Consult in a statement said “Empowerment is an utmost concern to help people get the requisite knowledge in any field of their interest to help them be self-sufficient and self-reliant and thus always strive to support others through tailored training packages delivered in the barest minimum of cost to trainees and hence is not focused on enriching himself through imparting knowledge to others”

Security is vital so a lot of people are installing CCTV cameras on their premises to that effect and hence the gap in this business is wide, so RICT Consult saw the need to take advantage and train people in this aspect so to equip them to be installers and bridge that technical gap.
RICT Consult has provided such training in other parts of Ghana and this is the first of its kind organized in Tano North and participants were very enthused.

The training started on 4th October and ended on 6th October 2021 with these modalities. Day 1 saw a PowerPoint presentation by the facilitator to brief participants on what CCTV Cameras are, the types, the importance, and how to bid contracts and make estimates.
Day 2 was purely hands-on with the facilitator demonstrating in practice and afterward each participant was allowed to practice in turns on how to create connectors for cables, fix them to the cameras and DVR, and setup the system to start recording.
Finally, Day 3 was a recap of all that was learned, including how to market the newly acquired skills and presentation of a certificate of completion to climax the whole training.

Even though participants were made to pay a minimum fee, some benevolent persons and institutions offered support and it is worthwhile to show appreciation to them.
RICT Consult is grateful to Mr. Bernard Dampte who out of his own free will supported the training in cash and XtendIT Foundation a US-Ghana based NGO whose focus is on technological training in communities to bridge the gap in ICT, We say may all that you lost be replenished.

A series of IT and Non-IT related training has been designed to follow suit after this one, so Tano North should get ready to benefit from this series of training. Our hands are open to any benevolent act of support to help empower the youth together.
