The three-months brain box Spelling Bee Competition which was fully sponsored by Dr. Gideon Boako, the Economic Advisor and Spokesperson to the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E Dr. Alhaji Mamudu Bawumia came to it’s fruitful end yesterday, October 9, 2021 at the forecourt of Charity FM at Duayaw Nkwanta, Tano North District capital .

The climax of the program was witnessed by notable individuals such as Dr. Gideon Boako, Hon. Ernest Kwarteng (MCE- Tano North), Dr. Kwasi Nyame-Baafi (Economic Advisor at the Office of the Vice President), Hon. Kenneth Adom Agyei (Deputy Constituency Secretary and Presiding Member, Tano North Municipal Assembly), Hon. Boadi, Hon. I.K, Mr. Kwabena Akuffo (Constituency Organizer), Jawass (Duayaw Nkwanta Youth Chairman), Wakeeke and the General Manager and workers of Charity FM.

The contestants in the grand fianle were; Mercy Agyeman Amankwaa (Presby A School), Naa Ayele Romina (SESBEC Montessori School), Promise Peprah Yeboah (P.O.P Academy), William Nyaniba(Capstone Academy and Owusu Ansah Joseph (Presby A School). At the end of the contest, Promise Peprah Yeboah, Naa Ayele Romina, William Nyaniba(Capstone and Owusu Ansah Joseph took the first, second, third and fourth positions respectively. The winner received cash prize awards in turns.

Hon. Ernest Kwarteng intimated that plans are far advanced to pave way for less privileged pupils in the remote areas and the other zones in the Municipality to also participate in the next edtion of the competition. He made a passsionate appeal to the organizers to include Science and Mathematics in the test areas to encourage our young ones to develop more interest in these key academic disciplines within the Municipality.

Dr. Gideon Boako took turn to also thank God, the organizers, parents, teachers, constestants who were evicted before the final and the general public for working diligently to making the Spelling Bee Competition a success.

Dr. Boako was very impressed with the confidence level of the finalists and that each of them was a winner since the competion started with about 100 kids of which they were able to make it to the final.

The organizers of the program presented a citation of appreciation in honour of Dr. Gideon Boako for supporting Tano North Youth in Education and sponsoring the Spelling Bee Competition.
