For the first time in a long while, the two biggest clubs in Ghana football, Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko are at the forefront of a league title race.
However, what could possibly pan out to be arguably one of the greatest ever title run-ins sees four teams separated by just seven points at the top.
A unique title race which has seen six different teams lead the table at one point in the season.Hearts and Kotoko are separated by just goal difference. Medeama seem to be losing the plot in the last few weeks, but is that worse than Karela United’s nagging fear that they have thrown it away after leading for so long in the first round? Hearts of Oak

Legon Cities (away) – Despite being recognized as an away game, Hearts of Oak will still play at the Accra Sports stadium. Should be an easy win.
Asante Kotoko (home) – This is the game that decides the season. It’s the top two clubs who’ve had very similar fortunes this season. Draw.Ebusua Dwarfs (away) – Playing against a sinking team with a lot of off the pitch issues. Easy win.
Liberty Professionals (home) – Back at the Accra Sports stadium against a below par Liberty team should be three points for Samuel Boadu’s side.
WAFA (away) – This has been an incredibly difficult fixture for Hearts since WAFA moved to Sogakope. Draw.

Bechem United (away) – Bechem have nothing to play for. This should be an away win.
Elmina Sharks (home) – Sharks can’t wait for the season to end. This should not be a problem. Home win.

WAFA (home) – A game against a team in mid-table, and at home too. Three points.
Aduana (away) – Aduana are just too strong at Dormaa. Loss.

King Faisal (home) – The away team might be playing for safety still. But one last push and it should be three points for Yaw Preko’s side.
Bechem United (away) – Bechem will be safely ensconced in no-man’s land and ought to be beatable. Three points.Elmina Sharks (home) – Medeama ought to win this one in their own back yard. Sharks might even have a relegation battle on their mind.
Eleven Wonders (away) – A difficult away tie but Medeama should have enough for a win.
Berekum Chelsea (home) – A winning finish at home with Chelsea who might possibly still be in a relegation scrap.

The ifs buts and maybes…
Maybe this is a bit hard on Karela United who spent the most time at the top of the table and have the top scorer in the league.
Even if Hearts and Kotoko draw, Karela will have to be perfect to stand a chance. Their drop in form makes that almost impossible.
Medeama also suffer the same fate and will need a miracle to overturn a seven-point gap even if they win all five games.
Hearts of Oak v Asante Kotoko on July 4 will decide the title.
If Kotoko win it they would finish with 65 and win the league.
If Hearts stop that happening, it’s hard to see how they might lose games elsewhere and that makes them favourites.
The difference will be down to goal difference in the scenario both Hearts and Kotoko draw.
As things stand, Hearts have a +4 goal difference which will then make them favorites for their first title in 12 years.
