Three men who were arrested and arraigned before the courts of the land for the alleged attack on Hon. Eric Opoku, The MP of Asunafo South have been granted GH¢100,000.00 bail by a Sunyani Circuit Court.
All three accused persons by name Kwabena Acheampong, Amos Asare alias “Anointing” and Richard Asare pleaded not guilty to the charges of causing harm and causing unlawful damage, when put before the Court presided over by Mr. Alexander Graham.
The trio have been ordered by the court to report to the Regional Police Headquarters in Sunyani on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday until their next appearance in court on Tuesday, April 24, 2018.
The prosecutors accused the trio of vandalizing three vehicles, damaging a metal gate and smashing louvres blades at the home of the Asunafo South MP.
They are also accused of inflicting matchette wounds on one Adam Seidu.
