Musician Eldeezy has raised concerns about the content of syllabuses in the country’s universities.

The first class graduate from the University of Cape Coast noted that the content taught at levels 100 and 200 music classes at the University of Cape Coast and most other public universities concentrated on classical music and choral music, away from growing industry trends like rap and hip hop.

Speaking on the Prime Morning Show with presenter Jay Foley on Tuesday Morning, Eldeezy explained that Rap music and other contemporary music elements must be integrated into the learning of music to promote the employability of graduates and the development of the music industry in Ghana.

His comment comes following unsuccessful attempts by government to change the teaching syllabus in primary schools and the projection to revise syllabuses in 2 nd cycle institutions also.
