The Entire capital city of Ahafo Region witnessed nostalgic moments when the current Vice President of Ghana H.E. Dr Alhaji Mahamadu Bawumia paid his last respect to Mr and Mrs Asiedu ( parents of Nana Adu)

Mr and Mrs Asiedu are well known patriots who have served the NPP faithfully throughout their lives.

The couple also happen to be the parents of Mr Alfred Asiedu, the current Ahafo Regional Organiser.

The presence of the Vice President to grace the occassion in the early morning clearly shows the caring nature of Dr Alhaji Mahamadu Bawumia.

His presence surprised many mourners and well wishers. According to Kofi Afrani ,’ I now understand why people live Dr Bawumia. If you have a leader like a Vice present who can come to your funeral at 8am , it means he cares about the grassroots.’

The Current Vice President and we’ll expected Presidential Aspirant also made a donation to Nana Adu and his family. An amount of 20,000 GhS was presented to Help the Nana Adu and his family during these trying times.

Our research at the funeral grounds showed that the Vice President has strong support amongst the party membership and they are all yearning for him to pick his forms to lead the party as the flagbearer.

According to deep sources, the presence of Dr Bawumia at this funeral in the wee hours of the day has lead many to suspect that Dr Bawumia has a very strong relation with the Regional Organiser who is a force to reckon with in political mass mobilisation.

According to Maame Akua Brobbey, ‘ I was not decided on who should lead the party, but for me what he has shown to Nana Adu, has convinced me that he is the man to lead the party. It is not about the money, it is about the time he came to the funeral and the amount of time he spent at the funeral.

This euphoria led supporters of other Presidential aspirants to make secret frantic calls to ensure the presence of their candidates later on in the day.

Many NPP dignitaries who thronged the funeral grounds included Lawyer Justice Kodua, NPP National General Secretary, Hon Kennedy Agyapong MP and NPP. Flagbearer Aspirant, Hon Evans Opoku Bobie MP, Deputy Youth and Sports Minister, Hon Ing Kobby Amoa-Mensah Npp Parliamentary Candidate 2020 Asunafo South, and the NPP Regional leadership supported by Constituency and Polling Station Executives.
