Thanks for your continued prayers and Support. This is to inform you that, I went to Walewale upon hearing the passing of HAJIA MARIAMA BAWUMIA.

We all know the immense support and love The Vice president and his wife have shown to people of Asunafo South.

It was therefore with sadness when I heard of the demise of the Mother of HE Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia on Monday 12th September 2021. I therefore set off with a team to bid our final farewell to a loving mother who has bequeathed to us a visionary and compassionate leader who is currently carrying out his duties as The Vice President (extra ordinaire) to HE Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo.

I set off for Walewale on Monday and we arrived safely on Tuesday 13th September 2021 (5 am) to witness the solemn occassion.

Many top party faithfuls who were there to show their last respect included the National Executives of the NPP led By Chairman Freddie Blay, Fred Oware, Dr Alhaji Mustapha Hamid, Hon Freda Prempeh amongst numerous MPs/PCs, Numerous Regional Chairmen, Regional Ministers and obviously Dr Gideon Boako amongst numerous dignitaries.

I had the opportunity to extend my commiserations to The Vice President, his brothers and family.

‘Indeed, we have all lost a mother and grandmother and we in Asunafo South wish The Vice President and his family strength in these Difficult times.

I thank God for travelling mercies in bringing us back from Walewale.

We must remain for each other and stay strong as the great Elephant family.

Nanti yie Hajia.

King Regards,
Hon. Ing. Kobby Amoa-Mensah.
