Yamfo Yooyokrom gets new toilet facility

Yamfo Yooyokrom in the Tano North Constituency has been saved from closure with the completion of a toilet facility.

Work on the new toilet facility started two years ago. The contractors completed the finishing works, which included plumbing, tiling and surface dressing on the walls but needs repainting to make the toilet operational.

Before, Insanitary conditions in the Town toilet led to faecal matter always overflowing from the septic tank. Residents were, therefore, left with no option but to “pound” their faeces each time there was an overflow.

It took the timely intervention of the Member of Parliament (MP) for Tano North, Hon. Dr. Frieda Prempeh to mobilize fund to construct a new toilet for the town. During her visit to inspect the project, She assured the community after the painting it would be opened to the public very soon, hopefully this month.
