On Friday, 24th June, 2022, Youths in skill development training program (dressmaking, hairdressing, shoe-making and Masonry) paid a courtesy call on the Municipal Chief Executive for Amenfi East, Hon. Frederick Korankye in his office. The youths were led by the Municipal National Youth Authority Director, Mr Michael Amoaful. The “Youth in skills development training” is a program being sponsored by the Municipal Assembly through National Youth Authority (NYA). The program is aimed at helping the youths who could not take advantage of the free SHS for whatever reasons.
The youths took this step to show their appreciation to the Municipal Chief Executive Officer for his contributions to their training. They mentioned inadequate sewing machines as one of their challenges.

The MCE promised to add 10 sewing machines to what has already been given in the coming weeks. So far, a total of 40 sewing machines have been supplied to the trainees. Currently, 175 youths have been enrolled on the program. Hon. Korankye took the opportunity to advise them on the effects of drugs, alcohol and other social vices. He asked them to talk to their friends and siblings at home to also take advantage of the program so that collectively, they can build the Municipal.

Mr Michael Amoaful took the platform to thank the MCE for his support, encouragement and the reception he has given them. He promised to do his bid for the MCE to achieve his objectives for the Municipal.
