For many, the feats of AMEND Foundation are rare if not legendary. Set up around 2012 , this foundation has been setting benchmarking standards for others to follow. This foundation is not a nine day wonder or a white elephant. It is impacting lives in resonance with their motto Passion in Action.

The AMOA-MENSAH Education Nurturing and Development (AMEND) Foundation has been at the forefront of Eduction, Nurturing Future Leaders and promoting Development in the areas of Healthcare, Road Safety, Sanitation and Infrastructure.

The people of Asunafo South this Christmas were presented with a valuable and visionary project to enhance the lives of it’s denizens.

The Founder of AMEND Foundation, Hon. Ing Kobby Amoa-Mensah provided details of a novel Academy on his Facebook page. The Academy seeks to provide scholarships to the brightest of students in the constitiency. The AMEND Scholars Academy will provide private tuition, school bags, books, owns, leadership training, ICT skills training and Entrepreneurship workshops for the scholars. Each Electoral area is expected to provide 10 bright students for intake.

A total of 300 pioneering scholars are earmarked to be enrolled into the scheme. The scheme caters for students who are with the ages of 9 years to 14 years and in Class 4 up to JHS1.

The importance of education to change the lives of families cannot be underrated and for this reason we envisage that the brightest of students will be given the opportunity regardless of their political, ethnic or socio economic stati.

All who are interested and believe they have bright wards are supposed to contact the assembly members in their respective Electoral Areas for application and assessment.

Many in Asunafo South have praised this laudable idea and hope that it will come to stay to benefit the people of Asunafo South and Ahafoman.

In an interview with Hon Ing Kobby Amoa-Mensah, he said, ‘ Our determination to raise our community out of poverty hinges on education and for that reason we need pragmatic and innovative solutions to attain such.’
