Hon. Freda Prempeh Foundation, in collaboration with the Ghana Police Church in Accra, is hosting a special Mother’s Day event with a focus on promoting the health and wellness of mothers. The gathering will bring together a distinguished congregation, resource persons, and honored guests, to pay tribute to the sacrifices and efforts of mothers in raising families amidst various challenges.
The event is themed “Healthy Moms, Healthy Families,” and it will be grace by the presence of Hon. Freda Prempeh, Member of Parliament for the Tano North Constituency. In her address, Hon. Prempeh is delight in celebrating mothers in a unique and meaningful way, thanking the event organizers, the chaplain, and the resource persons for their valuable contributions.
We celebrate mothers for the sacrifice and efforts in raising families amidst all the challenges, right from conception to childbirth, nine months and beyond. It’s not an easy road, not all rosy, but through it all, by His Grace, we prevail. Hon. Prempeh is applauding all mothers and potential mothers across the country. Recognizing that the physical, mental, and spiritual well-being of mothers significantly impacts their families. Hon. Prempeh is emphasizing the importance of prioritizing one’s health. She is urging all mothers to adopt various health-conscious practices, including regular check-ups, maintaining a balanced diet, engaging in regular exercise, pursuing hobbies, socializing, and ensuring adequate rest.
Our physical, mental, and even spiritual well-being plays a significant impact on our family. We have to place a premium on our health to enable us to take good care of ourselves, families, and our communities. We need that strength to play our role as mothers.
Hon. Freda Prempeh Foundation, in collaboration with the Ghana Police Church and a medical team as part of mothers day celebration is providing an opportunity for over 200 Mother’s to have their blood pressure and sugar levels checked. This initiative underscored the foundation’s commitment to promoting proactive health monitoring among mothers and their families.
It is all well and good, but how many of us here took time to celebrate mom by taking her to check on her health. Health first, healthy mom, healthy families.
Hon. Freda Prempeh Foundation’s Mother’s Day celebration will serve as a timely reminder of the crucial role that mothers play in shaping healthy and thriving families. By emphasizing the importance of maternal health and wellness, the event aimed to empower women to take charge of their well-being and become the best versions of themselves for the benefit of their loved ones and the broader community.
