Goaso, Ahafo Region, In a momentous occasion, Honorable Francis Asenso Boakye, Minister of Roads and Highways, recently paid a visit to Ahafo Region to address the longstanding issue of poor road conditions that have plagued the area for years. In a bid to bring about much-needed change, one of the key highlights of his visit was the cutting of the sod to kickstart the construction of the dilapidated Goaso to Tepa road, notorious for being a treacherous death trap.

Joining the Minister at the event was Ahafo Regional minister, Mp for Asunafo North, big personalities from Ahafo and Mr. Kofi Job, the appointed contractor responsible for the road’s construction. Speaking to the gathered crowd, Mr. Job assured them that work on this vital project would commence on a prompt schedule, starting April 20th, 2024. The announcement was met with overwhelming joy and relief from the people of the Ahafo Region, who have long suffered inconveniences and risks posed by deteriorating road infrastructure.

The Omanhene of the Goaso Traditional Council expressed profound gratitude towards the NPP government for finally addressing the critical issue of inadequate roads in the region. He commended Hon. Asenso Boakye for his unwavering commitment to improving infrastructure and ensuring the safety of residents in the area.

In addition to launching the Goaso to Tepa road construction, Minister Asenso Boakye took the opportunity during his regional tour to inspect several ongoing road projects. Identifying areas in urgent need of attention, he made a promise to address these pressing concerns promptly. This further highlights the government’s dedication to enhancing the road network throughout the Ahafo Region.
