Ghana international, Isaac Cofie has inked a new two-year contract extension deal with Sivasspor that would see him playing for the club in the Turkish Super League next season.

The experienced midfielder who joined the Turkish top-flight league outfit in 2019 saw his contract run out at the end of the 2020/2021 football season.

Speculated that he has left Sivasspor, Isaac Cofie has now signed a deal with the club. In an official statement from the club, it has confirmed that the midfielder has signed a new two-year contract.

“Our Demir Grup Sivasspor, with our football player Isaac Cofie, whose contract expired at the end of the season signed a new two-year year contract,” a Sivasspor statement posted on Twitter reads.

Isaac Cofie, 29, will be expected to use his experience to help the team next season.

In the past, the midfield enforcer had stints in Italy where he played for the likes of Genoa, Torino, Sassuolo, Chievo Verona, as well as Carpi.

Before joining Sivasspor though, he had a short spell in Spain where he featured for Sporting Gijon.
