President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku has described the death of Jones Abu Alhassan as a sad loss to the football fraternity in the country.

The veteran football administrator passed earlier this month in Abidjan after serving as Chief Executive Officer for a number of clubs in the country for several decades.

Speaking at his final funeral rites today, GFA capo Kurt Okraku admitted that the football family in Ghana has lost a man that made a massive impact in the sport.

According to him, the death of Jones Abu Alhassan “Is a desperately sad loss for the Ghana football family.”

Kurt Okraku continued, “We are all saddened by the demise of Jones Abu and as a matter of fact very difficult to come to terms with.”

“He was a very intelligent person – a deep thinker. For someone like Jones to have served Ghana Football for all his life, he had a big impact in the game.

“He brought tremendous experience to the GFA after many years of work and many will remember him for his role in this current administration.

Kurt Okraku further noted that having worked closely with the late Jones Abu Alhassan, he was an inspiration and thought him a lot of things.
