Great Olympics head coach, Annor Walker beleives he deserves to be crowned the best coach of the season.

The veteran gaffer guided the ‘Dade’ lads to the 6th position in the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League.

However, five coaches have been nominated for the Ghana Premier League coach of the season award.

Hearts of Oak coach, Samuel Boadu, Asante Kotoko gaffer, Mariano Barreto Jeronimo and Dreams FC trainer Vladislav Viric have all been nominated.

WAFA SC head coach Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum and Great Olympics’ Annor Walker complete the list.

However, Annor Walker says he stands a chance of winning the award as he strongly believes he performed better despite the club’s position.

“I stand the chance of winning the award over my competitors despite my position on the league table,” he said.

“Hearts and Kotoko were not able to beat me in both legs, I defeated WAF home and away likewise Dreams FC so I don’t know why I should not win the award.

“I don’t want to make any comment but I feel I should be the coach of the year,” he added.

The winner will be announced at a brief presentation ceremony at the head office of Electroland Ghana Limited (NASCO) on Monday, August 30 at 6pm.

The winner will receive a shopping voucher worth GHC8000.00 and a personalized trophy.
