Four suspects who were arrested in connection with the Nkoranza youth riots on Wednesday, May 18 have made their first appearance at a Techiman Circuit Court in the Bono East East Region.

They were remanded to reappear on Monday, June 6.

The suspects are Clement Kwadwo Adu, 27, Kwame Afum, 24, Isaac Kodom, 31, and Mike Awuni, 41.

Police prosecution has preferred ten charges against the suspects for attacking the Nkoranza Municipal Police Station.

They are accused of destroying items including a flat screen TV set and the windscreens of parked cars at the Station.

The Member of Parliament for Nkoranza South, Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyekum, was in court.

He said he will not relent in efforts to seek justice for the two slain victims, announcing that they will hold a press conference on Tuesday to draw the attention of government.

He said failure of government to heed to their plight will compel them to hold a massive demonstration for the world to know about the injustice that is being perpetrated in Ghana, that is the apparent violation of human rights and the lack of the rule of law.
