Now to those apostles who claim to love Ghana better than any other persons, those who cannot hide their all-knowing posturing and came out with some strange theories and assertions to the effect that a Kenyan entity is being given our data with respect to the SIM card registration, you goofed, once again.

First, they said the company in charge is the entity they love to hate with venom, KelniGVG. Later in the day, they retraced their steps to name another one from Kenya.

Their friends in the NDC threw their weights behind their voodoo analysis and ran to town with the claim that our bio data and everything about it are being handed over to a mushroomed Kenyan IT entity and that same would compromise our security.

Well, the National Communications Authority has come out to trounce these wild assertions by these interests groups.

For their information and education, the SIM registration data is not stored by any private entity. Telcos don’t store the Central data collected. The App developer doesn’t store the data either. The centralised database is rather hosted by the National Information Technology Agency (NITA) at the National Data Centre. NITA is a govt agency duly designated in accordance with law to be the custodian of the Central SIM Register.

From the above, one can clearly see that some people set out to throw dust into the eyes of the populace with such fabricated stories.
